Sandra (Hopkins) Alford, age 75, of Mechanicsburg, died peacefully at home and surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, December 6, 2015. Sandra was born on Tuesday, April 23, 1940 in Purley, England to the late Arthur W. Hopkins and Madeline (Pierce) Hopkins.
Sandra’s survivors include her two children: Michael W. Alford of Mechanicsburg, Michelle Alford of Colorado; her two grandchildren: Dustin Alford, Kristine Alford, and her brother Raymond Hopkins of South Carolina.
Sandra graduated from Duncan U. Fletcher High School and from Jacksonville University. She retired from Doylestown Library in Doylestown, after many years of service working as a librarian. Sandra enjoyed gardening and loved classical music.
Sandra’s family will be remembering her life privately. Cremation was private.
