Sandra “Sandy” Lee (Peffer) Gorham
Giving & Humble Person -
Sandra “Sandy” Lee (Peffer) Gorham, age 70, of Mechanicsburg, and formerly of Carlisle, went home to her family and pets in Heaven on Saturday, August 14, 2021. Sandy was born on Saturday, October 21, 1950 in Carlisle to the late Henry Peffer and Valda (Burgard) Peffer. In addition to her parents, Sandy is preceded in death by her beloved canine & feline companions that joyfully greeted her across the Rainbow Bridge.
Sandy’s survivors include her loving wife of 6 years, Carol Horn; her cousin, Pamela “Pam” (Burgard) Hunter of Enola; her many friends; and her three faithful canine pals: Ziva, Baxter, and Charlie.
Sandy retired from Lowe’s Home Improvement in Mechanicsburg, after 11 years of service working as an associate. She loved gardening and tending to her many flowerbeds. Sandy also enjoyed spending time outdoors, which included going to the beach. Throughout her life, Sandy always had a pet (or two) at home by her side; she was a true animal lover. Sandy had a knack for baking. Every Christmas her signature pretzels would be looked forward to by many and quickly devoured by all. Everyone that met Sandy quickly discovered how sweet, caring, and giving she was. She loved to do for others while always remaining nothing but humble.
All are welcome to join Sandy’s family on Saturday, August 21, 2021, for her gathering of family and friends from 10:30 a.m. until her graveside service at 11:00 a.m. in Westminster Cemetery, 1159 Newville Road, Carlisle, PA 17013; with The Rev. Madeleine Redmond officiating. Cremation was private.
