The Hands and Feet of Jesus -
Sharon Kay (Vogelsong) Eisenhour, age 51, of York , and formerly of Franklintown , died at York Hospital on Wednesday, September 30, 2015. Sharon was born on Thursday, December 12, 1963 in Mechanicsburg, to Helen Marie (Zimmerman) Vogelsong and the late Lester Lawrence Vogelsong. In addition to her father, Sharon is preceded in death by her three siblings: Kenneth Vogelsong, Vickie Crone, and Barbara Riordan.
Sharon’s survivors include her loving husband, Michael Wayne Eisenhour; her two children: Amanda Cree and Nicholas Cree, both of Franklintown; her five siblings: Robert Vogelsong, Brad Vogelsong, Lester Vogelsong, Shirley Stoltz, (her twin sister), and Rose Block; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Sharon graduated from Cumberland Valley High School as part of the class of 1981, and went on to become a licensed practical nurse. She was a long-time member of Celebration Community Church in Dillsburg, where she loved serving and was very involved in the children’s ministry. Sharon made several mission trips to Nicaragua, where she earned a key to the city, and where her last major project provided the area with clean water. The children in Nicaragua loved Sharon very much; as her compassionate, radiant, forgiving and maternal nature, especially to those in need, touched so many lives. She always encouraged others to strive to better themselves. Sharon gladly sacrificed for her beloved children, and she was a great teacher who trained them in the Lord. Sharon’s character can best be described as the hands and feet of Jesus. She was deeply loved and will be missed.
