A Scholar of Many Things -
Shelia Ann (Bowser) Blust, age 49, of Mechanicsburg, and formerly of Clarion, passed away at Temple University Hospital on Sunday, September 25, 2016. Shelia was born on Monday, April 24, 1967 in Clarion to the late Linda (Eisenmann) Bowser.
Shelia’s survivors include her two children: Edward John Blust II and his wife, Christina, and their children: Zayn and Nova, of Conway, Abbigail “Abbi” Lynn Blust of Lewisberry; and several nieces and nephews.
Shelia graduated from Clarion Area High School as part of the class of 1985 and from Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP) in 1991 with a bachelor’s degree in anthropology and archeology. She worked at PSECU as the manager of the mortgage department for about 20 years. Shelia enjoyed collecting Egyptian things and she had them all around her house. She loved to read and had a large compilation of books in her library. Shelia’s favorite kinds of books to read were murder mystery and archeology manuals. She also enjoyed making pottery, sewing, and making different types of crafts. Shelia found great joy working in her garden and watching her tomatoes, cucumbers, and peppers grow; all of which she cooked with. She liked to play Dungeons & Dragons and Trivial Pursuit, where she was always after more knowledge. Shelia had a passion for archeology and anthropology; she truly was a scholar of many things. She was loved my many and will be missed dearly.
All are welcome to join Shelia’s family at her gathering of family and friends on Saturday, October 15, 2016, from 12:00 p.m. until time of service at 1:00 p.m. at Daybreak Church, 321 Gettysburg Pike, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055; with Pastor Linda Fischer officiating. Cremation was private.
