Sheryl L. Recchione (nee Lynn), age 48, of New Castle, PA, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 9, 2016 into the arms of Jesus in Mechanicsburg, PA. Sheryl was born on June 28, 1967, in Westwood, NJ.
Sheryl graduated from Conestoga High School in Berwyn, PA as part of the class of 1985 and from East Stroudsburg University, East Stroudsburg, PA in 1989 with a bachelor’s degree in hotel and restaurant management. She also earned a certificate in computer programming from the Chubb Institute. Sheryl was known for her excellent grades during her school years and received high honors from Chubb Institute. She worked as a computer programmer for approximately five years after graduation and loved to play tennis, read, and enjoyed playing the piano.
Sheryl is survived by her two beloved daughters, Kiara and Arielle Recc hione, of New Castle; her parents, Steven and Donnagay Lynn; her sister, Tammy Millen and brother-in-law, Rev. Alec Millen; her three nieces and one nephew, all of Lancaster, PA.
Sheryl will be deeply missed by her family. A memorial service is being planned which will be held in Lancaster. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
