Shirley Jane (West) Bogel Warren, age 90, of Mechanicsburg, and formerly of East Stroudsburg, passed away on Tuesday morning, June 19, 2018.  Shirley was born on Thursday, September 15, 1927 in Neptune Township, NJ to the late Harold Edward West and Lilly May (Crossman) West.  Shirley was the widow of William “Bill” R. Bogel, who died in 1963.  In addition to her parents and husband, Shirley is preceded in death by her sisters: Janet Mae Neyhart and Delores Anne West.

Shirley’s survivors include her son: William “Bill” Bogel and his wife, Laureen, of Mechanicsburg; her three grandchildren: Nicole Bogel of Inverness, FL,  Aubrey Bogel of Christiansted, St. Croix, USVI, Marisa Adams of Brick, NJ; her six great-grandchildren; her great-great grandchild; her special niece, Nancy Pace of East Stroudsburg; and her faithful canine companion, Addie, the Jack Russell Terrier.

Shirley was a talented artist who enjoyed oil painting, crocheting, knitting, and needlepoint.  She loved to cook and deeply enjoyed music.  She was always one to notice the beauty in nature and the cute little things in life.

Shirley provided a sound, stable, listening ear to those she loved and was a woman who stood strong by her convictions and faith.  She was an avid reader and a member of the Mechanicsburg Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses.

Shirley’s services will take place at the convenience of the family.  Cremation was private.
