Shirley Christine (Shifflett) Leedy, 75, of Carlisle , and formerly of Mechanicsburg , died at Claremont Nursing and Rehabilitation Center on Sunday, January 27, 2013. She was born in Hummelstown, on Tuesday, November 30, 1937, daughter of the late Lewis Shifflett and Christine (Frazier) Shifflett. Shirley was the widow of Joseph Delmar Leedy to whom she was married for 48 years and who passed away August 7, 2007.
Shirley retired from Weis Markets, in Camp Hill as an office manager. She was a lifelong member of Christian Life Assembly in Mechanicsburg. Shirley was a great mom who never missed any of her children’s activities. She loved gardening and listening to Elvis.
Shirley’s survivors include her loving children, Michael J. Leedy of Camp Hill, Gary D. Leedy of Harrisburg, and Debra M. Rodkey of Camarillo, CA; two grandchildren, Keith Rodkey and Ashley Greenspun.
Cremation and services will be private and at the family’s convenience.
