Sigrid Hildegard (Weller) Hoffman, age 78, of Mechanicsburg , died at home with her loving husband by her side on Sunday, November 9, 2014. Sigrid was born on Saturday, June 13, 1936 in Stuttgart, Germany to the late Wilhelm Weller and Hildegard (Schwatz) Weller. Sigrid was the wife of Paul Hoffman, whom she married on April 21, 1972.
Sigrid’s survivors include her husband of 42 years, Paul; and a sister, Ellen Schuetze, of Germany.
Sigrid retired from Scandinavian Airlines, working as a payroll and finance administrator and supervisor. Sigrid attended First Church Christ, Scientist in Harrisburg. She loved playing tennis with her husband and also enjoyed playing the piano. Sigrid spoke fluent German, English, and a little bit of French. She was a serious-minded, fun-loving woman who was a lot of fun to be around.
All are welcome to join Sigrid’s family at her gathering of family and friends on Thursday, November 13, 2014 from 2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. at Myers - Buhrig Funeral Home and Crematory , 37 East Main Street, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055.
Cremation will be private and at the family’s convenience.
