“The Juice Man” -
Steven “Steve” William Leslie, 41, of Mechanicsburg , and formerly of Battle Creek, Michigan , died unexpectedly on Tuesday, August 7, 2012. He was born in Michigan, on Friday, August 21, 1970, son of Steven H. Leslie and the late Rebecca Leslie. Steve was the husband of Penny Lynn (Hampton) Leslie to whom he was devoted for more than 23 years.
Steve was fondly known as “ The Juice Man ” at the West Shore Farmer’s Market in Lemoyne where he and his wife owned and operated The Juicy Rumor for eight years. Steve also worked as an installation technician of security and fire alarm systems. He was a lover and rescuer of all animals and he adored his two dogs and three cats. Steve greatly enjoyed the outdoors, fishing and sports. He was an avid ghost hunter who never missed an opportunity to search for spirits. Steve loved video games of all kinds and rarely missed an opportunity to quote from his favorite cartoons: Family Guy, American Dad and South Park.
Steve’s survivors include his loving wife, Penny Lynn (Hampton) Leslie; his two daughters, Brittany Amber Wilt and her fiance John Martin of Carlisle, Morgan Elizabeth Leslie and her boyfriend Austin of Mechanicsburg; his father, Steven H. Leslie of North Carolina; his maternal grandmother, Rose Leslie of Michigan; his two sisters, Angela Mitchell of North Carolina, Amanda Leslie of North Carolina; and several nieces and nephews. Among those preceding Steve in death are his mother, Rebecca Leslie; and his sister, Elizabeth Leslie.
All are welcome to join Steve’s family at his viewing on Wednesday, August 15, 2012, from 1:00 until time of committal service at 3:00 at Myers–Buhrig Funeral Home and Crematory , 37 East Main Street, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055. Steve’s family invites everyone to join them for a time of food and fellowship at Hoss’s Restaurant , 61 Gettysburg Pike, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055, following the viewing.
All are also welcome to join Steve’s family at his gathering of family and friends on Thursday, August 16, 2012, from 12:30 until time of memorial celebration of life at 1:00 at Lower Allen Community Park , 4075 Lisburn Road, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055, with Celebrant Alan Echard officiating. Honored to be urn bearers are Steve’s daughters: Brittany Wilt and Morgan Leslie. Cremation and final rest will be private and at the convenience of the family. The family invites everyone to honor Steve’s memory by wearing casual clothing on both Wednesday and Thursday.
