Susan Leslie Beddoes, age 80, a lifelong Christian, passed from this life on October 27, 2024. Born to Maynard L. and Virginia M. Simon in Shreveport, LA, where her father was an Army Air Corps pilot.

Susan was a 1962 graduate of DeVilbiss High School in Toledo, OH and graduated with honors from the University of Toledo Com Tech.

Susan worked for Baron Drawn Steel and later as an accountant for her father's business, Maynard L. Simon and Associates. She also managed clothing and retail stores in Fort Collins, Colorado and other places across the country. While in Farmington, NM, she worked in the count room of the SunRay Casino.

During her youth she enjoyed English Style horse riding and jumping. Later while living in Colorado she developed an interest in western style riding and also attended numerous rodeo events including the Greeley Stampede and Cheyenne Frontier Days.

One special legacy she passed on to her children was her love of travel. She was very fond of the desert southwest and its beauty. She spent much of her life in Colorado, Arizona, Utah and New Mexico."

Susan was a life-long devotee of animal rescue and participated in saving hundreds of animals over a span of 45 years. She was a member and Associate of Best Friends Animal Shelter, Kanab, UT, San Juan Animal League, Farmington, NM, Feral Feline Friends, of East Tennessee and Loving Care Cat Rescue in Pennsylvania.

Susan was pre-deceased by her parents; son, John P. Beddoes, Jr.; brother Gary Simon; and an infant sister, Cheryl.

She is survived by son, Eric A. Beddoes and his wife, Natasha; daughter in law, Nancy A. Beddoes; brother, Maynard L. Simon and his wife Grace; grandchildren, Noah, Aiden, John Paul, Jacob; and former husband, John P Beddoes, Sr.
