Suzanne Elizabeth (Ruth) Greene, age 73, of Mechanicsburg , died at Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center on Wednesday, November 19, 2014. Suzanne was born on Tuesday, January 7, 1941 in Carlisle to the late Jacob Newton Ruth and Julia Elizabeth (Smith) Ruth. In addition to her parents, Suzanne is preceded in death by her son, David Winand, and her sister, Judy Ann Martin.
Suzanne’s survivors include her sons: Jeffrey “Jeff” Winand of Harrisburg, Steven Scott Winand of Mechanicsburg; her brothers: Jake Ruth of Mechanicsburg, Bruce Ruth of Carlisle; and several nieces and nephews.
Suzanne worked in her son’s flower shop, Jeffrey’s Flowers , for 25 years. She loved music and dancing, especially the Jitterbug. Suzanne’s sons remember her as a fiercely caring mother of her three boys, and she will be deeply missed.
All are welcome to join Suzanne’s family at her memorial service on Saturday, November 22, 2014 at 12:00 p.m. at CrossPoint Church , 430 Colonial Road, Harrisburg, PA 17109; with Reverend David D. Biser officiating. Cremation and interment in Westminster Cemetery will be private and at the family’s convenience.
