Sylvia Ann (Miller) Welsh, age 76, of Mechanicsburg , died at Holy Spirit Hospital on Friday, August 7, 2015.  Sylvia was born on Wednesday, November 16, 1938 in Everett, Pennsylvania to the late Ralph Emmerson Miller and Grace (Sheaffer) Miller.  In addition to her parents, Sylvia is preceded in death by her three brothers, Richard A. Miller, Jack S. Miller, Vincent R. Miller; and her sister, Shirley (Miller) Blosser.

Sylvia’s survivors include her loving husband of 51 years, Rawnell L. Welsh, Sr.; her three children: Vicki McDade and her husband, Joseph, of Franklintown, Mark Biggs and his wife, Melinda, of Mechanicsburg, Rawnell L. Welsh, Jr. and his fiancée, Lori Ann Himes, of Camp Hill; her grandchildren and great-grandchildren; her three siblings: Gerald L. Miller of Carlisle, Ronald J. Miller of Carlisle, Gloria J. (Miller) McDade of Dillsburg; and several nieces and nephews.

Sylvia was very proud of her 34 years of service with the Medical Bureau of Harrisburg.  She was a fan of the Flyers, and she especially liked to watch Phillies baseball with her husband.  Sylvia’s favorite pastime was playing bingo.  Sylvia was caring and helpful; and being a good listener, she was easy to talk to.  Most of all, her family remembers sharing lots of good times together; with Sylvia cherishing her children and grandchildren and being a great and loving wife.

All are welcome to join Sylvia’s family at her viewing on Wednesday, August 12, 2015, from 1:00 p.m. until time of service at 2:00 p.m. at Myers - Buhrig Funeral Home and Crematory , 37 East Main Street, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055; with Celebrant George Spangler officiating.  Burial will follow in Mechanicsburg Cemetery in Mechanicsburg.  Sylvia’s family invites everyone to join them for a time of food and fellowship at Hoss’s Steak and Sea House in Mechanicsburg, immediately following the burial.  Honored to be pallbearers are: Rawnell Welsh, Jr., Jeffrey Varner, Robert Diehl, Shawn McDade, Jason McDade, and Scott Keck.
