Tanya Loree (Jenkins) Hartung, age 36, of Mechanicsburg , died unexpectedly on Friday, October 31, 2014. Tanya was born on Friday, October 20, 1978 in Harrisburg to Cindy Lou (Renninger) Stone and the late William Scott Jenkins, Jr. In addition to her father, Tanya is preceded in death by her cousin, Eric Jenkins, her uncle, Marshall Jenkins, and her step-sister, Sara Restagno.
Tanya’s survivors include her husband, Kevin Hartung; her beautiful daughter, Ava Hartung; her mother, Cindy Stone and her husband, Eric; her siblings: Leanna Jenkins and her husband, Brian Houtz, and their daughter, Madison, of Newville, Jillian Karns of Mechanicsburg, Quinn Karns of Lemoyne; her grandmothers: Mardee Morrison of Mechanicsburg and Ann Jenkins of Massachusetts.
Tanya attended Cumberland Valley High School as part of the class of 1997. She was a smart woman and will be remembered for her sharp wit and strong opinions. Riding her motorcycle and camping were some of Tanya’s favorite pastimes. She loved fishing with her father and cherished her childhood memories of the family trips to Ocean City, Maryland; a place she loved, even though she did not like sand. She was a vibrant person and will be deeply missed by those who loved her.
Tanya’s family will privately celebrate her life and offer their final farewell before cremation and scattering.
