Taryn Anne (McComsey) Winter
Giving, Kind and Loving Angel -
On this day, Wednesday, April 22, 2015, an angel was taken from our midst and carried away in the arms of her Savior. Taryn Anne (McComsey) Winter, age 58, of Carlisle , and formerly of Lancaster , died peacefully after a long fight with muscular dystrophy and COPD. Taryn was born on Tuesday, September 4, 1956 in Lancaster to the late Barry McComsey, Sr. and Dorothy Woodworth.
Taryn’s survivors include her husband of three and a half years, Terry Winter, of Carlisle; her brother, Barry McComsey, Jr. of Willow Street; and several nieces and nephews.
Taryn spent several years working as a laborer at Ephrata Area Rehabilitation Services (EARS) in Ephrata. She was a member of St. Mark’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Harrisburg for about 5 years. Taryn loved to collect old coins and postage stamps, and she had well over 2000 Beanie Babies. She enjoyed going to flea markets and auctions. Taryn had a passion for playing bingo, doing jigsaw puzzles, and fishing. Taryn was her husband’s very giving, kind, and loving angel; and he will dearly miss her.
Taryn’s family will be remembering her life privately. Cremation was private.
