Terrie (Parsons) Fisher, 70, of Mechanicsburg , died at The Bridges at Bent Creek, Mechanicsburg on Monday, January 7, 2013. She was born in Alexandria, VA, on March 30, 1942, daughter of Louise (Houseman) Parsons who survives her and the late Eugene Steele Parsons. Terrie was the widow of David George Fisher whom she married on April 15, 1966 and who died on March 22, 2010.
Terrie graduated from Mechanicsburg High School as part of the class of 1960 and from Harrisburg Polyclinic Hospital School of Nursing . She was a member of Mechanicsburg Presbyterian Church , the Jaycees in Mechanicsburg, the West Shore Country Club and Carlisle Country Club , and Allenberry Resort Inn and Playhouse in Boiling Springs. Terrie volunteered with Mechanicsburg Meals on Wheels .
Terrie’s survivors include her loving daughters, Kellie L. Fisher of New York City, Mollie F. Arturi and her husband Anthony of River Edge, NJ; a sister, Jayne L. Harris; three grandchildren, David Arturi, Hope Arturi, Henry Arturi; her two nieces and two nephews. Among those preceding Terrie in death is a sister, Brenda A. Parsons.
All are welcome to join Terrie’s family at her Gathering of Family and Friends on Friday, January 11, 2013, from 10:30 until time of service at 11:00 at Mechanicsburg Presbyterian Church, 30 East Simpson Street, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055, with Pastor Kathryn Z. Johnston officiating. Cremation was private and burial will be private and at the family’s convenience.
