Terry "TJ" Lee Artko, Jr.

Terry “TJ” Lee Artko Jr, age 44, of Mechanicsburg, and formerly of Marietta, died on Tuesday, October 24, 2023.  TJ was born on Sunday, June 24, 1979 in Columbia, PA to Terry Lee Artko Sr and the late Patricia (Allison) Heffner.

TJ’s survivors include wife of 10 years, Allison Leigh (Lenhart) Artko of Mechanicsburg; his daughter: Nova Paige Artko of Middletown; his three step children: Sophie Ann Carson of Mechanicsburg, Damien Kit Carson and his girlfriend, Sylvia Abreu, of Camp Hill, and Briana Rae Enck of Camp Hill; his grandson: Ezeriah; his father: Terry Lee Artko Sr; his sister: Trisha Sweigart and her significant other, Katrina Smith, of York; several nieces and nephews; and his beloved animal companions: Rosco, Piper, Daisy, Oreo, Peanut, Pixie, and Kitty.

TJ worked as a general contractor and was very adept at replacing windows, siding and many other types of remodeling jobs.  He was a die-hard Steelers fan and loved watching his team play.  TJ was a hippie at heart; who enjoyed the music of the Grateful Dead; and buying, selling, and trading 60’s psychedelic artwork.  TJ loved the outdoors, and spent time at the beach, deep sea fishing, and hiking.  Always staying active, he would go to Knoebel’s amusement park, play at the casino, and spend time with his faithful dogs.  TJ was a fanatic for Mountain Dew, and he brought joy to himself and others by making food for his family and friends. 

All are welcome to join TJ’s family at his gathering of family and friends on Thursday November 2, 2023, from 2:00 p.m. until time of service at 3:00 p.m. at Buhrig Funeral & Cremation, 37 East Main Street, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055; with Celebrant George Spangler officiating.
