Thedore Cavalieri

A Gentle Man -

Thedore Cavalieri, 81, of Mechanicsburg , and formerly of New York , died at home and surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, December 17, 2013.  He was born in Yonkers, NY, on Wednesday, August 31, 1932, son of the late Nicholas Cavalieri and Celia Divanzo. Thedore was the widower of Elsie (Trovato) Cavalieri whom he married on December 10, 1965 and who died on July 3, 2003.

Thedore’s survivors include his loving children, Leonard Arnaboldi and his wife Nancy of Carlisle, Patty Thiele and her husband Randy of Carlisle; grandchildren, Angela Sneed, Stacie Arnaboldi, Danielle Blasi, Gina Fernez; great-grandchildren ,Isabella Sneed, Elijah Sneed, Madison Noel, Michael Fernez, and Nichole Fernez.

Thedore was a US Army Veteran of the Korean War . He retired from the US Postal Service as a dock supervisor. Thedore was of the catholic faith.  He was a kind and gentle man who just adored his grandchildren.  Thedore loved spending time with his family and always had a big smile when family was around. He was an avid New York Giants fan and enjoyed watching the Three Stooges on television.

All are welcome to join Thedore’s family at his graveside service on Monday, December 23, 2013, at 10:00 at Longsdorf Cemetery in Mechanicsburg with Reverend Louis P. Ogden officiating.  Military honors will be presented by the Cumberland County Honor Guard immediately following the service.
