Theresa “Terri” Laura (Pierce) Todd, age 63, of Mechanicsburg, passed away on Friday, April 1, 2022.  Terri was born on Wednesday, February 11, 1959, in Philadelphia to the late Donald Pierce and Charlotte Frances (Sharp) Pierce.  In addition to her parents, Terri is preceded in death by her four siblings: Dennis Pierce, Barbara Mercado, Diana Stalker, and John Pierce, Sr.

Terri’s survivors include her husband of 30 years, Charles “Charlie” Fredrick Todd, Jr.; her two sons: Charles Todd, III of Mechanicsburg and Sean Todd of Mechanicsburg; her four siblings: Donald A. Pierce and wife, Peg, of Philadelphia, Peggy Pierce of Philadelphia, Lori Williams and husband, Robert Sr., of Philadelphia, Kathy Eichman and husband, Bob, of Mechanicsburg; her two sisters-in-law: Laurie Pierce of Anderson, SC, Annamae Pierce of Havertown; her two brothers-in-law: Joe Todd of Alloway, NJ, John Todd and wife, Carol, of Alloway, NJ; and several nieces and nephews.

Since the beginning of Terri’s life, she became a daughter, sister, wife, mother, aunt, cousin, sister-in-law, and friend to many.  Terri started her adulthood in Upper Darby, PA where she started working at Rite-Aid Pharmacy and then went on to meet her husband, Charles F Todd.  They met on November 28, 1985 and six months later in May 1986 she introduced him to her, and now his, family.

Terri married Charles F. Todd on May 25, 1991 and they moved to Mechanicsburg, PA soon after.  On July 2, 1992, they were blessed with their twin boys, Charles and Sean, who are their pride and joy.  When the boys turned 18 months old, the family moved into their forever home.

When Terri returned to work she continued her career with the Rite-Aid Corporate Center.  Quite often you would see them with co-workers and family members at 6:00 A.M. enjoying a table sale that Rite-Aid often held for its employees.  If you know Terri and Charlie, you know that when they would leave the table sales they always left with several boxes of wonderful finds, as well as the people who joined them.  They would often enjoy breakfast at Diener's on Main St. afterward.  Terri then retired from the workforce after 30 plus years of service in 2017.

Terri was a hard worker in the business and her personal world.  She loved family gatherings and vacationing with her husband and children.  Terri would often extend an invite for vacations to include nieces, nephews, siblings, and other family and friends.  It was something she truly enjoyed.  Her favorite was vacationing with her husband and children in Disney World, and a time or two she would invite other family members along.  Terri also enjoyed yearly trips to the beach.  She liked many things, especially anything Disney, Eeyore, The Grinch, a good Vera Bradley bag and daisies.  She loved seeing the children in her family grow up and she did all that she could to love and support them.

Terri wasn't one to ask for anything except your love and time; she didn't want or need anything else.  She was one of the most giving people around.  Terri was always willing to cook and bake for anyone that came to her home, and even if you didn’t get to her home, she volunteered endlessly to cook for family events.  You could often see her with all of her nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, making cookies or cake in the kitchen, just because.

We can go on forever about how amazing of a person Terri was, but we will stop here and say that although her time here was only marked for 23,060 days, or 63 years if preferred, all of our lives were touched in a very special way by her.  She will live in our memories and our hearts forever.

All are welcome to join Terri’s family on Saturday, April 9, 2022, at her in-person viewing from 1:00 p.m. until time of virtual gathering beginning at 2:00 p.m. and her service at 2:15 p.m., all at Buhrig Funeral Home & Crematory, 37 East Main Street, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055.  Terri’s family invites everyone to join them for a time of food and fellowship at Buhrig’s Gathering Place (next to the funeral home) immediately following the service.  Over 100 parking spaces are available; just look for the “Buhrig” parking signs in all of our parking lots.  Interment in Mechanicsburg Cemetery will be at the convenience of the family.
