A Friend to Everyone -

Tracey Elizabeth Glessner, age 54, of Enola, died at home on Wednesday, August 26, 2020.  Tracey was born on Friday, March 4, 1966, in Somerset, Pennsylvania, to James “Jim” Andrew Glessner and the late Judith Mae (Emert) Glessner.

Tracey’s survivors include her father Jim Glessner and wife Denise of Dauphin; her three siblings: Ryan Glessner and wife Jen of Mechanicsburg, Jason Glessner of Carlisle, Kelly Lauer and husband Dan of Dillsburg; her nephew, Gage Glessner; her niece, Kendra Glessner; and her beloved feline companion, Casey.

Tracey graduated from Cumberland Valley High School as part of the class of 1984 and from Susquehanna University in 1990 with a bachelor’s degree in human resources.  She last worked at Delta Dental in Mechanicsburg as a customer service representative, and previously held the same position at Novitas Solutions in Mechanicsburg.  Tracey spent her leisure time traveling all over, doing puzzles, and playing games.  She was fan of scary movies and stories and the Grateful Dead; and an even more enthusiastic fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers.  Tracey was smart and enjoyed reading.  Whiles she liked dining out, Tracey was known to be a great lasagna cook, and her deviled eggs were a staple at every get-together.  She loved animals, particularly cats.  Tracey was outgoing and a friend to everyone she met.  She found great joy in time spent with her friends and beloved family, who will miss her dearly.

All are welcome to join Tracey’s family at her in-person open house and virtual gathering of family and friends via video chat or telephone on Thursday, September 3, 2020, from 4:00 p.m. until time of closing ceremony at 6:00 p.m. at Buhrig Funeral Home & Crematory, 37 East Main Street, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055.  Interment in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens in Harrisburg will be private and at the family’s convenience.  Cremation was private.
