Virginia Alice (Hope) Linhart
Virginia Alice (Hope) Linhart, age 84, of Mechanicsburg , and formerly of Pittsburgh , died at the Carolyn Croxton Slane Residence on Thursday, April 9, 2015. Virginia was born on Saturday, July 12, 1930 in Pittsburgh to the late Frank William Hope and Henrietta Margaretta (Seitz) Hope. Virginia was the widow of William H. Linhart, whom she married on February 25, 1950, and who died on December 6, 1998. In addition to her parents and husband, Virginia is preceded in death by her siblings: Frank W. Hope and Henrietta Hope Wilding.
Virginia’s survivors include her children: Hope Dougherty and her husband, Joseph, of Etters, William “Bill” R. Linhart of Germantown; her four grandsons: Joseph Patrick Dougherty III and his wife, Rana, Matthew Linhart Dougherty and his wife, Laura, William Paul Linhart, Ryan Patrick Linhart and his wife, Genevieve Cattanea; and her two great-grandsons: Bennett Cattanea Linhart and Sebastian Cattanea Linhart.
All are welcome to join Virginia’s family at her burial on Monday, April 13, 2015, from 12:00 to 12:30 p.m. at Queen of Heaven Cemetery Chapel , 2900 Washington Road, Canonsburg, PA 15317.
