Virginia “Ginny” (Valetske) Jurewicz

Virginia “Ginny” (Valetske) Jurewicz, age 71, of Mechanicsburg went home to Jesus peacefully at Holy Spirit Hospital on Saturday, March 12, 2016. Ginny was born on Tuesday, December 9, 1944 in Shenandoah to the late Charles Joseph Valetske and Mary Catherine (Denchy) Valetske.
Ginny’s survivors include her husband of 46 years, Joseph “Joe” John Jurewicz; her two siblings: Charles Valetske and his wife, Shirley, of Mechanicsburg, Joan Wallace and her husband, Joseph J., of Shenandoah; her sister-in-law: Rosemary Jurewicz of Shenandoah; and her nieces and nephews: Susan, Lynn, Joseph S.
Ginny graduated from Shenandoah Valley High School. She was a long-time member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church in Mechanicsburg. Ginny was a member of the Blessed Virgin Mary Sodality and of the Shenandoah Area Senior Citizens. She liked browsing the internet and working in her garden. Ginny also enjoyed doing crossword puzzles. Ginny always put her husband first and was a loving sister who idolized her brother, Charlie; calling him her angel.
Graveside service for Ginny will be held on Monday, March 21, 2016, starting at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Fatima Cemetery in Shenandoah Heights, PA; with Monsignor Bosian officiating. Cremation was private.
