Loving Husband, Adoring Father and Grandfather -
Wayne Thomas Soule, age 72, of Mechanicsburg , and formerly of Ramsey, NJ , passed away peacefully at home and surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, June 10, 2015. Wayne was born on Sunday, November 1, 1942 in Brooklyn to the late Ralph Templeman Soule and Olive (Castle) Soule.
Wayne’s survivors include his loving wife of 50 years, Mary Carolyn (Gregory) Soule; his children: Kimberly Lynn Soule of Lemoyne, Kristen (Soule) Weitzel and her husband, Matthew, of Mechanicsburg, and Gregory Wayne Soule and his wife, Diane, of Mechanicsburg; his grandchildren: Abby, Austin, Catherine, Evan; his siblings: Lee Soule of Florida, Susan Wightman of New Jersey, his sisters-in-law, Sharon and Anne, his brother-in-law, Tim; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Wayne graduated from Ramsey High School as part of the class of 1960 and from Rutgers University in 1965. He retired from the Standard Register Company after many years of service working as a district sales manager. Wayne was a proud United States Navy veteran who served from 1965 to 1972. He enjoyed playing hockey, fishing, and making music with his keyboard. Wayne also loved vacationing with his family at Green Lake in Maine. He absolutely adored his grandchildren and loved to attend their school and sporting events.
All are welcome to join Wayne’s family at his gathering of family and friends on Saturday, June 20, 2015, from 11:00 a.m. until time of service at 12:00 p.m. at Myers - Buhrig Funeral Home and Crematory , 37 East Main Street, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055; with Celebrant George Spangler officiating.
Closing ceremonies will follow the service, with military honors to be presented by the Cumberland County Honor Guard . Wayne’s family invites everyone to join them for a time of food and fellowship at Warm Hearts Café , next door to Myers-Buhrig Funeral Home and Crematory , following the service. Cremation was private.
