Wayne Eugene Thomas, 58, of Mechanicsburg , died at home on Monday, October 28, 2013. He was born in Carlisle, on Saturday, December 11, 1954, son of the late Glenn Leroy Thomas and Gladys Marie (Rickrode) Thomas.
Wayne’s survivors include his siblings, John Robert Thomas and his wife Patricia of Mechanicsburg, Glenn Leroy Thomas Jr., of Mechanicsburg, Celesta Sue Thomas of Mechanicsburg; nieces, Shea Marie Johnson and her husband Curtis, Kristy Hummel and husband Rich of Dillsburg; nephew, Roman Thomas, Mechanicsburg; great-nieces, Korenia Barrick, Quinn Boyd, Sierra Hummel; nephew, Spencer Thomas; uncle, Steve Rickrode; aunts, Irene Hewitt and her husband Dorsey, Glora Sowers and her husband Edgar, Nancy Shoenberger and her husband Richard, Linda Kuhn and her husband Rick.
Wayne graduated from Cumberland Valley High School as part of the class of 1972. He was an employee of Sunday’s Mill in Mechanicsburg, after almost 20 years of service working as a truck driver and also was an employee of Cumberland Valley Co- Op for over 15 years. Wayne enjoyed watching NASCAR, listening to country music, mowing the lawn and most of all, spending time with his family.
Services and cremation will be private and at the convenience of the family.
