Willard “Pee Wee” Christian Humer, Jr.

An Overall Wonderful Man -

Willard “Pee Wee” Christian Humer, Jr., age 69, of Mechanicsburg, passed away with his family by his side on Thursday, September 22, 2016.  PeeWee was born on Saturday, February 22, 1947 in Mechanicsburg to Ethel Virginia (Knisely) Humer and the late Willard Christian Humer, Sr.  In addition to his father, PeeWee is preceded in death by his sister, Connie Richard.

Pee Wee’s survivors include his wife of 49 years, Lorraine “Rainie” Ann (Nye) Humer; his three children: Dawn Marie McKay and her husband, Michael, of Dillsburg, Kelly Ann Rhoads and her husband, Matthew, of York Haven, Willard “Skip” Christian Humer, III and his wife Brandi, of New Cumberland; his mother, Ethel Virginia (Knisely) Humer of Mechanicsburg; his six grandchildren: Erin Marie McKay, Jessica Marie McKay, Jayna Emily Rhoads, Spencer William Rhoads, Nealey Ashton Humer, Willard Christian Humer, IV; his two siblings: Barry Carl Humer and his wife, Melissa, of Mechanicsburg, Lois Eileen Heckard and her husband, Dave, of Mechanicsburg; and several nieces and nephews.

Pee Wee graduated from Cumberland Valley High School as part of the class of 1965.  He retired from Swartz Supply Co., after many years of service working as a truck driver.  Pee Wee also worked at All-Pro Trailer Sales where he delivered trailers with his wife.  He drove tractor trailers for a great number of years.  Pee Wee was a member of the Mechanicsburg Club and the Enola Sportsman Club.  He loved to hunt and go to his family’s cabin in Potter County.  Pee Wee enjoyed watching dirt track racing every chance he had.  Everyone relied on him to do everything because he was always there for others.  He was a great husband, awesome dad, adoring and proud grandfather, amazing brother, and loyal friend.  Pee Wee will be deeply missed by many.

Pee Wee’s family will be remembering his life privately.  Cremation was private.
