William "Bill" Thomas Lambert

Mechanicsburg

William “Bill” Thomas Lambert, age 99, of Mechanicsburg, and formerly of Camp Hill, died on Wednesday, February 28, 2024.  Bill was born on Friday, June 27, 1924, in Atlanta, GA to the late Chesterfield Lamar Lambert and Maude Estelle (Thomas) Lambert. Bill was the widower of Dorothy Madeline (Clark) Lambert, whom he married on May 10, 1946, and who died on August 12, 2016.  

 

Bill’s survivors include his two sons: William “Bill” Clark Lambert and his companion, Ann Hess, of Glenmoore, PA, Alan “Barry” Lambert and his wife, Cynthia, of Camp Hill, PA; his six grandchildren; his ten great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.


During WWII, Bill served for over 3 years as a U.S. Marine.  As part of the special Marine Air Wing  Squadron 612 in the South Pacific, he acted as a platoon leader and achieved the rank of Master Technical Sergeant.

His employment history included a lengthy career with Bell Telephone and AT&T Communications.

Bill will be dearly missed by those who were fortunate enough to have known him.

 

Bill’s family will be remembering his life privately.   Interment will be at the family’s convenience.  Cremation was private.
