William “Bill” Floyd Gilbert, Sr.

William “Bill” Floyd Gilbert, Sr., age 86, of Mechanicsburg, and formerly of Williamsport and Muncy, passed away at home on Monday, June 20, 2022.  Bill was born on Sunday, June 14, 1936, in Williamsport to the late Floyd Franklin Gilbert and Ruth Abigail (Fry) Gilbert.  In addition to his parents, Bill is preceded in death by his brother, Allen Gilbert.

Bill’s survivors include his wife of 61 years, Suzanne “Sue” (Hancock) Gilbert; his two sons: William “Bill” Gilbert, Jr. and his wife, Julie, of Mechanicsburg; Robert “Rob” Gilbert and his wife, Lori, of Ephrata; his two granddaughters: Carly and Anya Gilbert; his brother, James “Jim” Gilbert and his wife, Nancy, of State College; and several nieces and nephews.

Bill’s family will be remembering his life privately.  Cremation was private.
