William “Bill” Russell Keller, 70, of Boiling Springs , and formerly of Glen Rock , died on Wednesday, December 26, 2012, at Carlisle Hospital. He was born in East Saint Louis, Illinois, on Saturday, April 11, 1942, son of the late Robert Foust Keller and Mary (Gamble) Keller. Bill was the husband of Susanne Elaine (Fink) Keller whom he married on November 7, 1998.
Bill retired from AMP Inc. in 1998, working as a machinist. He was the former mayor of Glen Rock. Bill loved photography. He would literally go out on a limb to take a picture of his favorite scene, a waterfall. He was an avid bowler who grew up bowling and working at his father's bowling alley called Bob's Bowlerama in Glen Rock. Bill was a member of both the 300 and 700 bowling clubs. He enjoyed traveling and camping with his wife in their RV. Bill was a loving Dad, and was described as a spunky, feisty man with a heart of gold.
Bill’s survivors include his loving wife of 14 years, Susanne; his children, Gail Markle of Stewartstown, Marjorie Romano and her husband Michael of Boiling Springs, Joseph Rollason and his wife April of Chambersburg; five grandchildren, Anthony, Angelina and Michael Romano, Austin and Darcy Rollason; two brothers, Robert James Keller and his wife Fran of York, John Keller and his wife Bonnie of York; three nieces, Sherri Dennis and her husband Mike of York, Bobbi Pierce and her husband David of Las Vegas, and Karen Chodikov and her husband Gary of Pittsburgh.
All are welcome to join Bill’s family at his Gathering of Family and Friends on Saturday, January 26, 2013, from 2:30 to 4:30 at Myers–Buhrig Funeral Home and Crematory , 37 East Main Street, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055. Cremation will be private and at the family’s convenience. The family suggests memorial contributions to Hospice of Central PA , 1320 Linglestown Road, Harrisburg, PA 17110.
