William “Bill” Leroy Nailor, Jr., age 69, of Carlisle passed away at UPMC Pinnacle Carlisle Hospital on Sunday, October 3, 2021.  Bill was born on Saturday, July 5, 1952, in Fort Bragg, NC to the late William Leroy Nailor, Sr. and Betty (Brickner) Nailor.  In addition to his parents, Bill is preceded in death by his canine companion, Amber Lynn.

Bill’s survivors include his wife of 38 years, Linda Kay (Kingsborough) Nailor; his son, William “Billy” Leroy Nailor, III; his five grandchildren: Katie, Sierra, Torrie, Hailey and Hunter; his three great-grandchildren: Dallon, Winston and Evelynn; his four siblings: Ray Nailor and wife, Peg, of Mechanicsburg, Carol Hippensteel and husband, David, of Carlisle; Wayne E. Nailor, Jr. and wife, Susie, of Carlisle; Carrey Welsh of Carlisle; several nieces and nephews; and his beloved canine companion: Cinnamon.

Bill graduated from Cumberland Valley High School as part of the class of 1972.  He retired from Excel Logistics in Harrisburg, after many years of service working as a forklift operator.  Bill was an avid deer hunter and always looked forward to deer season in Perry County.  Bill also collected and restored antique John Deere tractors and was a member of the Williams Grove Historical Steam Engine Association.  Bill would travel to New York to hunt deer with his brother and nephew.  He and his family also loved to camp together in their RV.  Bill will be missed greatly by his family and friends.

All are welcome to join Bill’s family at his viewing on Friday, October 15, 2021, from 11:00 a.m. until time of service at 12:00 p.m. at Buhrig Funeral Home & Crematory, 37 East Main Street, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055; with Celebrant Patti Vogl officiating.  At the family’s request, masking will be optional. Burial will immediately follow the service in Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens in Carlisle.
