William “Bill” E. Webster
Lived For the Day -
William “Bill” Edward Webster, age 62, of Newville, and formerly of Mechanicsburg, peacefully went home to his Heavenly Father while being comforted by his loving family on Friday, June 23, 2017. Bill was born on Friday, September 17, 1954 in Harrisburg to the late William Lee Webster and Margaret Ann (Smeltz) Webster. In addition to his parents, Bill is preceded in death by his nephew, Daniel “Danny” Lee Webster, Jr.; and an infant brother.
Bill’s survivors include his loving soulmate of over 30 years, Rose Comp; his brother, Daniel “Dan” Lee Webster, Sr. of Mechanicsburg; his uncle, Charles E. Webster of Mechanicsburg; his cousin, Cindy (Webster) Delp and her husband, Trent, of Carlisle; his brother-in-law, Danny Comp of Millerstown; his faithful Pug companion, Alex; and several nieces and nephews.
Bill attended Mechanicsburg High School and he worked at Highmark Blue Shield. He was a very independent and laid back man who often spoke his mind. Bill loved animals and going fishing as well as going to the shooting range. He enjoyed collecting swords, stamps, and coins. Bill liked to shoot pool and sharing some of his talents with others such as working on computers and playing the guitar and harmonica. He was a fierce and strong guy who took every day with a carefree mentality. Most importantly, Bill lived for the day and he lived in the moment.
All are welcome to join Bill’s family at his graveside service on Thursday, June 29, 2017, at 11:30 a.m. at Mechanicsburg Cemetery, 137 West Marble Street, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055; with Roger Smith officiating. Honored to be pallbearers are Charles Webster, Daniel Webster, Sr., Danny Comp, Trent Delp, Angelo Rivera, Kim Hughey, Steven Comp & Kevin Comp.
