Wilson Hom Wong
Always Put Family First -
Wilson Hom Wong, age 60, of Enola, and formerly of East Brunswick, New Jersey, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, June 13, 2020. Wilson was born on Wednesday, March 30, 1960, in New Brunswick, New Jersey to Sew Fong (Eng) Wong and the late Yen Sun Hom.
In addition to his devoted mother, Wilson’s survivors include his loving wife of 18 years, Susan Marie (Corman) Wong; his three siblings: Gee Ming Wong and wife Janet of Monroe, NJ, Tom Wong and wife Maritza of Matawan, NJ, Sherry Gorrie and husband Steve of Marlboro, NJ; and his six nieces and eight nephews.
Wilson graduated from East Brunswick High School as part of the class of 1978 and attended Rutgers University. He retired in 2018 after many years working as an information technology specialist for the Defense Information Systems Agency at the Mechanicsburg Navy Depot. Wilson also served on Westbury Home Owners Association’s Architectural Control Board.
Wilson’s physical fitness was important to him, and he worked out at least an hour every day. Golf was Wilson’s favorite pastime; he played on the Carlisle Barracks golf team and even made a coveted hole-in-one. Although he was very competitive, Wilson always played fair. In addition to golf, he especially enjoyed playing cornhole, board games, and dominoes. He was an extremely intelligent and handy person who learned how to build golf clubs, repair golf clubs and cellular phones, and fix various things around the house. Wilson was very outgoing and relished traveling all over the world. He also delighted in hosting holiday parties, dinner parties, and backyard cookouts where he displayed his excellent grilling skills. Wilson made people feel welcome and at ease in his presence, and he liked to help others succeed. Above all, Wilson was a wonderful husband and provider who loved his mother and always put his family first.
