Wyene Thomas Taylor, 50, of Mechanicsburg and formerly of Harrisburg died Wednesday, November 30, 2011 at Holy Spirit Hospital.  He was born on Wednesday, April 19, 1961 in Virginia the son of the late George Thomas Taylor II and Mary Armstrong Taylor.  Wyene married Claudia Ann (Smith) Taylor, who survives him, on July 12, 1981.

Wyene was a member of Worship House Church in Mechanicsburg.  He was a kind man who gave his time generously to others.  Wyene’s kindness and gentle way will always be remembered by those who knew him.

Wyene’s survivors include his loving wife of 30 years: Claudia Ann (Smith) Taylor of Mechanicsburg; one son: George Thomas Taylor VI and his wife Leslie of Harrisburg; four grandchildren: George Thomas Taylor VII, Makayla Smith, Jade Taylor, Trey Taylor; his mother-in-law: Wava Smith of Mechanicsburg; and many brothers and sister, nieces and nephews and cousins.  Among those preceding Wyene in death is his daughter: Wyenet Taylor.

A small group of Wyene’s family and close friends gathered for his viewing and prayer service on Wednesday, December 14, 2011, from 1:00 to 2:00 at Myers–Buhrig Funeral Home and Crematory , 37 East Main Street, Mechanicsburg, PA, 17055, (717) 766-3421, www.Myers-Buhrig.com with Pastor David W. Learn officiating.  Cremation was private and at the convenience of the family.
