Yvonne Joy (Bevis) Mehosky

Yvonne Joy (Bevis) Mehosky, age 97, of Mechanicsburg, and formerly of St. Leonard, MD, passed away on Friday, February 14, 2020.  Yvonne was born on Thursday, September 21, 1922, in London, England to the late Leslie Bevis and Doris Nita (Petty) Bevis.  She was the widow of Colonel (Ret.) Edward Stanley Mehosky, whom she married on April 4, 1944, and who died on March 5, 2011.

Yvonne’s survivors include her four children: Diane V. Morga of Martinsburg, WV, Ivan Paul Mehosky and his wife, Charlotte, of North East, MD, Stanley “Stan” J. Mehosky and his partner, Margaret Jennion, of Warrington, England, Edward “Ed” Mehosky and his wife, Patricia “Patty”, of St. Leonard, MD; her numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; her three siblings: Derrick Bevis of Leeds, England, Elaine Brooks of Somerset, England, and June Penn of Sydney, Australia; and several nieces and nephews.

All are welcome to join Yvonne’s family at her viewing on Saturday, February 22, 2020, from 11:45 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 12:30 p.m. at Buhrig Funeral Home & Crematory, 37 East Main Street, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055; with Rev. Dr. Ivan Mehosky officiating.  Yvonne’s family invites everyone to join them for a time of food and fellowship at Buhrig Funeral Home & Crematory immediately following the service.  Burial in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery in Annville, PA will be private and at the family’s convenience.
