Zackary "Zack" London McCartney

December 19, 1988 — November 18, 2023

Carlisle

Zackary London McCartney, age 34 of Carlisle PA sadly left us unexpectedly at his home on Saturday, November 18, 2023.  Zack was preceded in death by his father, Timothy McCartney, his beloved Nanny, Patricia Hall, and his Grandparents, Helen and Robert McCartney.  Zack was survived by his mother, Michelle McCartney, Great Aunt Gloria Harner, and Great Uncle Steve Wallace.  He was the first-born son of Timothy McCartney and only child of Michelle McCartney.  He is grieved by Stepmother Lonna McCartney, Stepsisters Christina McCartney and Elana Trozzi, Nephew Giovanni, Stepbrothers, Timothy McCartney, Jr., Adam and Andy Werner, as well as many cousins and their families.  Born on December 19, 1988, in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, he graduated from Cumberland Valley High School, attended Empire Beauty School, and at the time of his passing was training to become a manager at Taco Bell. Zack was one of a kind with a pure heart and soul.  He was kind and sweet, and all he wanted to do was help people and change the world.  Zack gave himself generously to those he didn’t know, whether he just met them on the street or they were friends or family members.  If you were in need, he was there to help.  Zack always put others needs before his own.  Zack loved cars, especially his beloved Nissan 350.  He loved music, teaching himself guitar and even recording his own songs at the age of 6.  He loved attending concerts, and this was something special between him & his mother, Michelle.  They shared many road trips to see the bands that they loved so much.  Zackary also loved animals, whether they were fluffy kittens, beautiful butterflies, or creepy spiders.  He would carry each one of them to freedom.  Zackary had many struggles, almost too many for one person to bear, especially with mental health and the chronic pain he dealt with.  He wanted to be a voice to help change the very rigid laws concerning these unbearable health issues.  With all the struggles that Zackary had, he overcame each and every one of them.  He even took it upon himself to become his mother’s caregiver as she had suffered many severe heart issues, in addition to other health issues. He treated her with compassion, kindness, love, and showered her with gifts.  Zackary was my hero, and it was a privilege to be his mother, I will miss him every minute until we are reunited again.  If you were lucky enough to have met Zackary, then you know how special he was and how lucky you were to have met such a pure and loving soul. We love and miss you, Zack!
