Charles “Chip” Francis Finke, III

Charles “Chip” Francis Finke, III, age 64, of Harrisburg, formerly of Prospect, CT and Waterbury, CT, passed away on Monday, March 13, 2023.  Chip was born on Tuesday, June 10, 1958, in Waterbury, CT to the late Charles Francis Finke, Jr. and Myrna (McGarvey) Finke.  In addition to his parents, Chip is preceded in death by his two brothers: Douglas Finke, Steven Finke; and his former parents in-law, Victor and Irene Sweet.

Chip’s survivors include his son, Jason Finke and his wife, Stephanie, of Shiremanstown; his daughter, Miranda Malizia and her husband, Christopher, of Naugatuck, CT; his two grandsons: Samuel Malizia, Jack Charles Finke; his sister, Tammy Puzacke and her husband, Ronald Stadalnik, of Watertown, CT; his former spouse and good friend, Janice Finke of Waterbury, CT; his two sisters in-law: Patricia Finke of Oakville, CT; Janet Finke of Ocala, FL; his former brother in-law and friend, Michael Puzacke; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Chip graduated from Wilby High School in Waterbury, CT as part of the class of 1976.  He worked for Sikorsky Aircraft in Stratford, CT for over 25 years, then went on to work as a driver for North East Transportation for several years. Chip will be deeply missed by his friends and family.

A celebration of Chip’s life will be held at a date to be announced in Connecticut.  Cremation was private.
